I will be sharing about her own journey as a faith-based practice owner. I believe it's important as Christians, that we really remember what we've been through, not only for our own growth, but to help one another.

Having a Faith Based Practice means you have a practice that is clinical, but also has faith as part of it. I like to say “it's business with a twist of faith” because faith influences the work that I do. I'm doing the work to honor God and to help people and practices get healing. Faith-based practice just simply means the work I do has a faith-based component to it. Faith-based practices or are more overt and some are more covert. Overt just means they are talking more about faith, making that more in their branding and in their marketing. And then a covert practice would be a faith-based practice, but they don't talk about it as much.

One of the most common questions that I hear as a faith-based consultant is, what does it mean to be a Christian counselor? A lot of people have this idea that they have to be a certain thing to call themselves a Christian counselor. I share my thoughts on that and more in this episode.

I love being authentic, bold, and real in the work that I do. I've realized over time, I used to follow the rules and feel like I had to have everything to a T. But it's so important in our work that we love it and that we're authentic and that we find healing and joy in it. So I want to let you know that through this podcast, even though I am going to talk about business and the work we do, I'm also going to talk about the inner person that we are, because it's who we are that influences the work that we do, and it's in that, that we find healing.
